Our day with Lara was the best day ever, with one of the best tutors we have been lucky enough to have with us.
Lara began by demonstrating her techniques, leaving us breathless with wonder at her skill, speed and accuracy. She had hand drawn a practice piece for us all, and we set off nervously, taking a deep breath as we began to draw and paint with our machine. Then on to our main piece, a cushion or lampshade, again, hand drawn by Lara for each of us, according to our choices, and appliquéd and machine embroidered. Lara shared her skill, her fabrics, her threads and helped us every step of the way. The results at the end of the day were simply beautiful, and we left with our main piece as well as our practice piece with everything needed to make it into a little lamp.
Thank you Lara!
