Our Charity Support
Ouse Valley Quilters have, in the past, raised a considerable sum of money for the charities we have supported.
Our Exhibition in 2018, including our Sales Table at monthly meetings and a donation by one of our members, allowed us to give our two charities at that time, Kangaroos and Kent Surrey & Sussex Air Ambulance, £1,753 each.
During 2015/2016, including our 2016 Exhibition, we were really pleased to donate £5,000 again, shared equally between our supported charities, Macmillan Cancer Support and Kangaroos. During 2013/2014, including our 2014 Exhibition, we were delighted to donate £5,000, shared equally between our two charities, Chestnut Tree House, a hospice which provides vital care and support for children and families dealing with life-limiting illness and Macmillan Cancer Support for their new unit being built in Brighton . In 2011/12, including our 2012 Exhibition, we donated £3,800, split equally between Chestnut Tree House and also Leo House At Home, who provide nurses to visit young people/children in their own homes to offer support and assistance enabling the young people to stay at home with their families.
